About
Alaskan-based Media Company
Film + Sound + Music
Welcome to Drum Song Films LLC, where we march to a different rhythm. We work in close cooperation with Indigenous peoples across Alaska to tell their stories from an authentic, local perspective. We specialize in social justice, climate justice, and cultural documentaries.
We acknowledge and thank our ancestors, families, communities, knowledge-sharers, and future generations who inspire us as we work to uplift our Indigenous storytellers. We apply Multiple-eyed Seeing (Indigenous guiding principles) to our filmmaking and we strive to become future elders.
Showings

We are excited to have Drum Song: The Rhythm of Life AND Reclamation screened as part of the Anchorage International Film Festival's NATIVE VOICES showcase. Native Voices showcases the resilience and resourcefulness of Alaska's Indigenous peoples as they adapt to rapidly changing environments, such as eroding lands and melting Arctic ice. Together, these films form a powerful narrative regarding the importance of Indigenous land stewardship, cultural practices, and the urgent need for global attention to the voices and rights of Indigenous peoples in the context of climate change and industrial development.
Please email us at contact@drumsongfilmsllc.com if you'd like for us to submit to a film festival in your area. Thank you for your support!
